Almana Group conducts Blood Donation Drive

As part of Almana Group’s core values and commitment to support the local community, a Blood Donation Drive was launched during April 2019 targeting Almana employees. The event was supported by Hamad Medical Center who helped organize this activity and make it a great success.
Blood donation is not only a duty to support our community and help those who are in need. It is also very important for our health. There is no end for the benefits of blood donation for those who need it. One blood donation can save as many as 3 lives. Donating Blood has many effects on the physical and emotional well-being.
Emotionally, blood donation helps reduce stress, get rid of negative feelings and provides a sense of belonging to reduce isolation. Physically, regular blood donation lowers the risk of heart disease and heart attack because it reduces blood viscosity and lowers iron stores. It also reduces the risk of cancer as it helps increase antioxidant capacity. Last, blood donation offers Free Health Check Up. In order to donate blood one must undergo a health screening covering pulse, blood pressure, body-temperature and hemoglobin levels. This test offers excellent insight into one’s health and can effectively detect future health problems.

Almana Group Employee Sports Day 2019

In celebration and support of Qatar’s National Sports Day, Almana Group has held a Sports Festival that started on January 26th  2019 and ended on the 12th of February 2019 with a special celebration to the winning teams.

The festival encompassed Basketball, Volleyball and Cricket tournaments in which all the subsidiaries, affiliates and joint ventures of Almana Group have participated. The Cricket tournament was held at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium and the other tournaments were held at AIMS facility in Industrial Area. On the National Sports Day, 250 employees of Almana Group gathered to compete across a range of mini game tournaments and participated in running a 2KM marathon in an atmosphere of fun, excitement and celebration. During the day, a winning ceremony was held to deliver the prizes to the winning teams with special attendance of Almana Directors, management and staff.

For the first time, Almana Automotive Group sponsors the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters Golf Tournament 2019 represented by all the Automotive brands in Almana Group : Ford, Lincoln, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Ram, Ford Heavy Trucks and Hertz.

The event that took place from March 4 till March 10 2019 is considered to be “The Pearl In Qatar’s Sporting Crown”. Since 1998 the prestigious Qatar Masters tournament has been hosted by Doha Golf Club and sponsored by Qatar Commercial Bank. It is held at the beginning of each year as part of the PGA European Tour. Many of World’s top golfers have competed in this year in a desert -type competition and crowned Justin Harding Champion.

Hertz Almana, The Official Transportation Provider of the Qatar Maters, supported the logistics of the Golf Tournament with over 120 vehicles and drivers. The Qatar International Boat Show that was held at The Pearl Qatar Marina Walk from March 12 till March 16 2019, was inaugurated by HE Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Commerce and Industry. Jeep Middle East and United Cars Almana Launch Wrangler JL in Qatar

Jeep Middle East and United Cars Almana, the sole distributor of Jeep, Dodge Chrysler and Ram in Qatar, launched the All New 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL in the Sealine Area on 25th January 2019 during a fun family day that delivered a memorable experience to the off-road “Jeep Lovers” in Qatar.

Coca-Cola Almana Celebrates 132 years of the iconic brand

On 8th May 2018, staff members and management at Coca-Cola Almana (CCAM) gathered at its facility in New Industrial Area to celebrate 132 years of the iconic brand. To mark the occasion, CCAM thanked the team for their continued efforts to grow the brand in the Qatar market, before a fun quiz to test their knowledge about the history of Coca-Cola and its products. After the winners were awarded a variety of great prizes, a number of hard working employees were recognized and honoured for their extraordinary commitment to excellence, service and performance. The ceremony was then concluded with a cake cutting.

To coincide with the celebrations, Coca-Cola Almana also expanded its product portfolio with the launch of Schweppes +C, an effervescent, lemon-flavored beverage with added Vitamin C. Schweppes +C is now available in all leading supermarkets and hypermarkets in Qatar and each can contains approximately 83mg of Vitamin C to refresh and energise consumers. As part of the product launch, the Coca-Cola Almana team held a sampling activity in numerous well-known supermarkets and hypermarkets, giving people the opportunity to taste this unique and refreshing beverage. The new product was well received by excited customers who enjoyed the unique taste and recognised the high quality that Coca-Cola is synonymous with.
